Most little girls are brought up on fairy tales. The greatest fairy tale being of Princes and Princesses. Mother's, perhaps foolishly, raise daughters with the fairytale fantasy of finding their handsome Prince and wearing a beautiful crown of jewels some day. Not literally of course but these little girls do grow up expecting to find the man of their dreams and all that accompanies it.

Girls grow up hearing their Mother and friends speaking of diamonds and crystals, sapphires and gold. They will naturally be attracted to these sparkling jewels as they get older. Most women remember the fairy tales of their youth and stories about Princesses and Princes.

From a young age daughters hear stories of knights in shining armor, handsome princes and princesses. Waiting for the day their prince charming will come along and sweep them off their feet. Perhaps the time has come for new stories to be written to avoid the heartache of many who do not find their one true love.

History books have been written of the endless search for gold and diamonds. Wars have been fought, lives have been lost and fortunes made in the pursuit of treasures that lie beneath the earth. Going down a gold mine and seeing how much work goes into extracting the gold and diamond from the rocks is a fascinating experience.

Being able to see the whole process of a lump of rock being turned into a bar of pure gold is so interesting that it will amaze all who see it. The men who work down these mines have a hard life. It gets unbearably hot and stuffy. The noise from the jack hammers they use to penetrate the hard rocks are deafening.
